Terms and Conditions

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set out the terms that apply when you order, purchase, or return products from rains.com.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and RAINS ApS, located at Ib Spang Olsens Gade 12, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark, which is considered the legal seller for all purchases.


Conclusion of Agreement

By placing an order on rains.com, you declare that you are purchasing for private use only.

By clicking “Pay now”, you are placing a binding order for the items in your shopping cart. A binding purchase agreement is concluded when you receive an order confirmation from us. The order confirmation is deemed to have been received as soon as we have sent it to the e-mail address you provided during the order and when this e-mail has reached the server of your e-mail provider.

 

Our Rights in Relation to Your Orders

We reserve the right to reject or cancel an order, in whole or in part, if certain situations arise that make this necessary. This may include, for example:

  • The product is no longer available, out of stock, or there are delivery or supply issues.
  • Obvious pricing errors on our website.
  • Your billing or delivery information is incorrect or cannot be verified.
  • Payment is not approved, or we do not receive payment within a reasonable time.
  • The order is suspicious, unusual, or potentially fraudulent.
  • The order is placed for resale or in breach of our purchase restrictions.
  • You attempt to bypass our systems, purchase limits, or discounts, or use automated systems, scripts, or third-party services to place orders on your behalf.
  • You frequently purchase a large number of products using one or more linked accounts, for example with the same or similar delivery address, phone number, payment account, email, or IP address, and at the same time make an unusually high number of returns, frequently request refunds, or otherwise exploit our systems in bad faith. This also applies if the behaviour constitutes abuse, fraud, repeated exploitation of discounts or promotional offers, or if returns do not comply with the conditions we have set for products and refunds.
  • You violate applicable laws or these terms and conditions.

If we reject or cancel an order, we will refund any amounts already paid, unless the law allows us to withhold payment, for example to cover delivery costs for uncollected packages.

Prices

The prices shown on uk.rains.com at the time you place your order are the prices that apply. All prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT.

 

Promotions

Our offers are only available for a limited time, while stocks last. Rains reserves the right to discontinue these offers without prior notice. If a product was purchased online or in-store prior to the current promotion, we will not be able to refund the price difference.

When returning a product that is part of a multiple item order or is a promotional offer, all parts of the purchase must be returned. If these items are not returned, the value of the items will be deducted from the credit.

 

Shipping

Delivery times depend on the chosen delivery method and are shown at checkout.

Orders over £85 qualify for free delivery. For orders below this amount, delivery costs will be added. The cost depends on the chosen delivery method and will be displayed at checkout. Delivery charges are collected by Rains.

If a package is not collected, it will be automatically returned to our warehouse. You will then receive a refund for the cost of the goods, minus any delivery charges.

 

Payment

We offer the following payment options: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB, PayPal and Klarna. We reserve the right to refuse certain payment methods for a given order and to refer to other payment methods.

You agree to receive invoices and credit notes in electronic form only.

 

Security

You can safely use your credit card on our web shop. Our payment system requires 3D Secure – a worldwide security standard verified by Visa and Mastercard.

If your card is flagged as not 3D Secure, or if you’re having issues with the 3D Secure data not being accepted (Verified by Visa/Mastercard Secure etc.), it is best to contact your bank to confirm if there is an issue and to make sure your card is 3D Secure.

 

Buy now, pay later with Klarna

You also have the option to buy now and pay later with Klarna. Klarna is a third-party payment provider that will send you payment details after your order has been shipped. Please note that using Klarna constitutes a credit purchase and that there may be financial obligations associated with its use.

If you return products ordered with Klarna, your refund will also be handled by them directly. If you have any questions regarding your payment, please contact Klarna customer service.

 

E-Gift Card

An E-gift card has no expiration date. The E-gift cards can only be used on uk.rains.com (UK webshop) and cannot be redeemed in physical Rains stores. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. A gift card can be used in multiple transactions until its value expires.

When refunding a payment made with a gift card, the amount will be returned to the gift card. If another payment method has also been used, the amount will preferably go there.

 

Statutory Right of Cancellation

When you purchase goods online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the day you receive the item, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must 1) inform us of your decision to cancel (for example by email or letter), and 2) return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation. You may use the return label provided with your order, but you are not obliged to do so.

You may also choose to use the model cancellation form set out in the Consumer Contracts Regulations. You will have met the cancellation deadline as long as you send your notice of cancellation before the 14-day period expires.

If you cancel your contract, we will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (excluding any additional costs resulting from your choice of a non-standard delivery method). Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your notice of cancellation. We will issue the refund to the same payment method you used for the original transaction. We do not charge any fees for the refund. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you provide evidence that you have sent the goods back.

You may handle the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. If the item is returned with signs of use beyond what is necessary for that purpose, we may deduct an amount to reflect any diminished value. Please return the product in its original condition and, where reasonably possible, in its original packaging. The return of original packaging is not a condition of exercising your right to cancel but helps protect the item during transit.

 

Contractual Right of Return

We offer you an additional right of return, which we offer voluntarily and independently of your 14-day right to cancel. Your legal right to cancel remains unaffected by this.

Rains offers a total of 30 days from the date of receipt to notify you that you want to return intact products, and we will refund the full amount. The returned item must be in its original condition and in the original packaging with the price tag intact. We reserve the right to deduct depreciation from the return if the product is not in its original condition.

We would like to point out that we unfortunately cannot offer to exchange your order unless the received item is defective, or in the event that you have received the wrong item. If you need a different size or product, you can instead place a new order in our webshop.

On the return form you can see what information we need and where the returned item should be sent.

If the entire purchase is returned, you will receive a full refund of the delivery fee.

During holidays such as Christmas and New Year, the return period may be extended. The returned item must be in unused condition and in original packaging with the price tag intact.

NOTE: It is not possible to refund an item purchased on rains.com in our physical Rains stores or vice versa, but we can always offer an exchange for another item, color or size. Bring the delivery note or invoice to the store.

 

Faulty Items & Wrong Items Delivered

If a product develops a fault that was present or beginning at the time of delivery, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 2-year warranty for defects caused by manufacturing faults or materials issues. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, or any changes made to the product after purchase.

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details, a description of the issue, and photos if available. We may ask for proof of purchase.

Once we receive the product, we will assess it to determine whether the fault is covered. If it is, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances and what is possible at the time.

This warranty operates alongside your legal rights and does not limit or replace them in any way.

If you have received the wrong product or size, we offer you a free return label and we will send you the correct product as soon as possible. If, for one reason or another, we cannot replace an item, we offer a refund or a credit note.

Please note: It is not possible to return or submit warranty claims for items purchased on rains.com in our physical Rains stores. Likewise, items purchased in a Rains store cannot be returned or processed for warranty claims through rains.com.

However, our Rains stores are always able to offer an exchange for another item, colour or size. Please bring your delivery note or invoice when exchanging in-store.

Shipping

All orders are shipped during courier's business hours. We ship to UK addresses only. You will receive an e-mail with shipping information when your package is on the way. If you have not received your order within 14 business days after receiving the shipping information, it is your responsibility to contact Rains. Once you have received the package, you should inspect the goods. If the package and / or contents are damaged, please immediately contact our Customer Service.

If you do not pick up your package or refuse receipt, an automatic refund will be made for your purchase, excluding any shipping charges.

 

Complaints

If you have a problem with a product you have purchased from us, you should first contact our Customer Service team to try to resolve the issue directly.

If you cannot reach a satisfactory solution with us, or if you believe the product does not comply with your statutory consumer rights under UK law, you may escalate your complaint to an independent dispute resolution scheme, including the UKICC.

 

Choice of law

Nothing in this section shall deprive you of the protection afforded to consumers by the mandatory rules of law of the country in which you live. You agree that these Terms and Conditions, your order, your purchase and any dispute between you and RAINS ApS shall be governed in all respects by Danish law, without regard to choice of law provisions, and not by the 1980 U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Regardless of the above choice of law, be reminded that you will enjoy the statutory rights provided in your favour under the applicable laws of your country of residence.
